(SOLD OUT ) J. Laurens Crémant de Limoux ‘Clos Demoiselles’ ($25 / $22.5).  From a very early sparkling wine region, Limoux, in the far south of France in the Languedoc where they craft excellent bubbles for a  very fair price. This blend of pinot noir, chardonnay and chenin blanc carries itself with ripe aroms, medium bodied structure, and a smooth, easy-to-drink finish.
In place of the J.Laurens, we are pouring the La Collina 'Lunaris' Secco, an organically grown and biodynamically certified sparkling Malvaisa from Reggio Emilia, Italy.  In addition to having a ripe tree fruit character, it's full of baking spice and sweet earth.  I adoringly call it "Martinelllis for Adults," but I'm probably not supposed to say that.

Caves du Prieuré Crémant de Bourgogne ($29 / $26.1).  The family behind some of our favorite Burgundies also happens to make a fabulous sparkling in their caves in Savigny-Les-Beaune. A beautiful blend of Chardonnay, Pinot and Aligoté, 24 months of sur lie aging, and a finished dosage of 6g/l makes this a bargain for high quality French bubbles. Looking for something to please a crowd that won’t set you back? Give this one a try and you’ll be glad you switched to Cremant from Prosecco. Oops, can we say that?!

Allimant-Laugner Crémant d' Alsace Brut Rosé ($24 / $21.6).  Generations of winemaking in Alsace lend  the history of the region into this somewhat newer style: sparkling rosé of Pinot Noir.  Pinot in Alsace can be darker, almost smoky, and this rosé is layared with red fruits and a beautiful finish of toast and dark fruit. Delightful to share with anyone who prefer rosé and likes to experiment!

Champagne Colin Premier Cru Blancs de Blanc Brut ($53 / $47.7).  You’ll notice below we have TWO wines from Champagne Colin on our list. That’s because they are stellar producers with 200 years of history as a grower in the region and we simply love their wines. This 100% Chardonnay is smooth and rich, with a beautifully crisp finish. There’s perhaps no other wine we’d recommend to someone in need of a bottle of great bubbles and that needs to feel confident gifting or opening with their geeky wine friends.

Champagne Colin Premier Cru Brut Rosé ($55 / $49.5).  From the same Castille line made by Champagne Colin, this is their rosé. A splash of Pinot adds a touch of pink color and a bright red fruit aroma of raspberries and strawberries. We love seeing more people enjoy rosé bubbles, and it’s more than just for looks. Although a glass of this with a small raspberry or strawberry on the bottom is perhaps the perfect way to ring in the new year. Our prediction for this year’s party: one isn’t enough!

Champagne Laborde 'Tandem' ($69 / $62.1).  The history of their Monts de Berru region, and the family legacy behind this new wine from wife and husband duo Delphine and Pierre-Emmanuel (a graduate of Avizé) makes us extremely proud that we were able to find a Tandem wine. Delphine grew up in vines and winemaking before working her way up the ranks at Bollinger and Veuve Cliquot. Today she and her husband farm just 5 hectares of vines. This blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay is an homage to the two grapes working together. Seamless, delicate, elegant. Only 1500 bottles produced and we anticipate selling out before NYE.
